Take inventory throughout the day as well as past experiences, and ask yourself…

1. How do I view myself as a pet parent, handler, or pet professional?

2. What do I think of my puppy, dog, or pet and how they view the world?

3. What do I think of my trainer, client, or students?

4. What did I believe that socialization was?

Day Two Activation Assignment:

Take inventory throughout the day as well as past experiences, and ask yourself…

1. What did I think appropriate socialization was before I started this workshop?

2. What do I think of my dog and how they learn new things? Do I think they need to be told what to do in order to learn new skills and cues?

3. What did I learn today about self-exploration when teaching my dogs and how can I apply it to their daily learning?

4. Write down 2-3 ways you can set up a safe, fun, and enriching self-exploration activity for your dogs!

Day Three Activation Assignment:

Congratulations on completing day 3 of the workshop! You guys are incredible!! Remember, even if you did not start out in an ideal way, the next best time to make a change is now. Be present and train with the dog in front of you!

Let’s activate day 3:

1. What handler skills do I need to practice in the privacy of my home without a dog?

2. Why is it important to passively socialize rather than walk my puppy or my rescue dog? Write down your plan for passive socialization.

3. Which cues are important in the fundamentals of loose leash walking?

4. What was my biggest takeaway in this entire workshop series? And how will I apply it to training with my dog and teaching others with their dogs?
